A power trio of Mick Davis (vocals, guitar), Mark Neary (bass, vocals) and Elliot Dicks (drums), The Novaks' Things Fall Apart contains 12 tracks, including the lead single "There Goes The Night." The album was recorded 'live off the floor' in just over a week at The Sonic Temple studio in Halifax and The Faces' Ian McLagan makes a guest appearance on keyboards. The single was recently serviced to radio and a video is in the works with director Ante Kovac (The Tragically Hip, Matthew Good, Arkells)...

Since immigrating to Canada in 2003 from her native Cuba, where she sang professionally for 10 years, Caridad Cruz has attracted a lot of attention. Her debut Canadian performance with Jane Bunnett's Spirits of Havana was broadcast nationally on CBC's 'Global Village' and inspired a Globe and Mail reviewer to applaud her "warm ocean of a voice." The reviewer's inevitable comparison with her legendary relative, 'Queen of Salsa' Celia Cruz, also came out thumbs up: "Caridad Cruz seems well on her way to royal status, herself..."
